After graduating from Albany College of Pharmacy Dave moved to Rouses Point, NY to work at Ayerst lab for a year and a half. Dave and his family then found Franklin County, Vermont.  He became a partner in an independent pharmacy and then sole proprietor and operated an independent pharmacy with his wife Susan for 32 years. Dave purchased Richford Rexall in 1974 and ran it until 1979.  In 2002 he sold to Brooks Pharmacy and worked for Brooks and then Rite Aid for 10 years. Since then, Dave has worked per diem at the Notch Pharmacy in Richford. A personal highlight for Dave is when he won the Bowl of Hygeia in 1996. His personal interests include pigeon racing,  horse racing, traveling and community services.

David is 2023 recipient of the 1866 Lifetime Achievement Award! The 1866 Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes sustained contributions to the profession of pharmacy and to the VPA. Nominees are active, retired or past members of VPA and not a previous recipient of this award and have been licensed for at least thirty (30) years with a track record of demonstrated support that has aided in the longevity of the Association.
