NOTCH Awards 2025 Scholarships to Four Outstanding Local Students

RICHFORD, VT — Northern Tier Center for Health (NOTCH) is proud to announce the 2025 recipients of the NOTCH Scholarship. This annual award supports individuals from across the region who demonstrate strong commitment to community impact and personal growth through higher education.

The 2025 scholarship recipients reflect a wide range of educational journeys and life experiences. Each is pursuing a path rooted in service, care, and leadership—with deep connections to their communities and a shared dedication to making a difference.

Jessica Robert, St. Albans, VT

Vermont State University

Jessica is in her second year of an accelerated Associate Degree in Nursing program. A proud mother of two, she is passionate about delivering compassionate, evidence-based care and is focused on balancing her studies with family life as she works toward becoming a nurse.

 

Kyra Weatherwax, Enosburg Falls, VT

Russell Sage College

Kyra is studying psychology at Russell Sage College. She enjoys travel, art, and food, and looks forward to a career in school counseling. Kyra values the support NOTCH has provided her and her community in pursuing meaningful goals.

 

Liam Sweeney, Burlington, VT

University of Vermont

Liam earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise & Sport Physiology before serving in the U.S. Army, including a deployment to Afghanistan in 2020. Now enrolled in UVM’s post-baccalaureate pre-med program and working for NOTCH, he is preparing for a career as a Physician Assistant.

 

Megan Dussault, Richford, VT

Villanova University

Megan will begin her studies at Villanova University this fall, where she plans to major in political science. With a strong interest in international affairs and public service, she hopes to one day contribute to the work of the U.S. State Department.

NOTCH congratulates each of this year’s recipients and celebrates the diversity of experiences and goals they represent. The NOTCH Scholarship reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in individuals who are working to improve health and opportunity in their communities.
